A Surveyor Location Report is designed for use by a title insurance company with loan policies on small tracts containing a one to four family house.
It may also be used on commercial tracts up to two acres in size. No monumentation is required. The uncertainty of location may be plus or minus one foot in subdivisions and plus or minus two feet on small unplatted tracts. In some instances the distances from improvements to property lines may be estimated. Therefore it is important to note that these reports should never be used to locate, for construction, new improvements such as building additions or fences .
